Shaykh ibn Baaz رحمه الله speaking about his mother and the importance of choosing a righteous spouse for your offspring
Shaykh ibn Bāz :
“And I have no doubt that my mother (may Allaah shower His mercy upon her) had a tremendous effect upon me, and has a great excellence over me, in encouraging me to study, and she assisted me in it.
May Allaah greatly increase her reward and reward her with the best of rewards for what she did for me. And
There is no doubt also, that the house in which there is kindness, gentleness, love and care, with the correct Islaamic tarbiyah (education and cultivation) will greatly affect the man.
So he will become, if Allaah wills, successful in his affairs and in any matter whether it be seeking knowledge, trading, earning a living, etc.
So it is Allaah alone that I ask to grant us all success and to guide us all to that which He loves and is pleased with. And
May the prayers and peace of Allaah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his Family, his Companions and his followers.”
Oh sister, know that you will neither obtain lofty mannerisms nor a healthy marital life until you greet your husband like the greeting of the most gracious of hostesses to their guests.
Be keen in rushing to welcome your husband upon entering the home with a warm embrace [as this shows you were looking forward to see him and hence makes him feel loved].
Kiss him with love and respect, a kiss of affection and enthusiastic desire.
For this will cause him to have a strong bond with you, and in turn he will come to recognize your rights over him.

Shaykh ‘Abdullaah ‘Azzaam said:
“A group of friends are all like each other, and the longer the friendship lasts, the closer the character and manners of each person in the group will be to the others.
Do not believe that a good person can live for long with a corrupt person, unless the corrupt person improves and follows the example of the good person.
This is why you should look for the good people, and a friend is like a chain: he will either drag you into Paradise, or drag you into Hell. He will either cause you problems or he will help you solve your problems.”
[At-Tarbiyyah Al-Jihaadiyyah Wal-Bina, 5/35]
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying that Allah, the Most Blessed and High, said:
O son of Adam, spend. I will spend on you. The right hand of Allah is full and overflowing and in nothing would diminish it, by overspending day and night.
[Sahih Muslim 993]
Those who spend their wealth in the Cause of Allaah, and do not follow up their gifts with reminders of their generosity or with injury, their reward is with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve
“Believe in Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), and spend of that whereof He has made you trustees. And such of you as believe and spend (in Allaah’s way), theirs will be a great reward”
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“There is no day on which the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says, ‘O Allaah, give in compensation to the one who spends (in charity),’ and the other says, ‘O Allaah, destroy the one who withholds.’”
[Al-Bukhaari, 1374] [Muslim, 1010]
