Title:ghurabaa (Strangers)
Munshid: Muhammad as-Salmān
Composition: Saad al-Ghamidi
Year: 1985

Ghurabaa’ wa li ghairillaahi laa nahnil jibaa
[We are] strangers and we do not bow the foreheads to anyone besides Allah

Ghurabaa’ war tadhainaa haa shi’aaran lil hayaa
[We are] stranger and we have chosen this to be the motto of life

Inta sal ‘anna fa inna laa nubaali bit-tughaat
If you ask about us, then we do not care about the tyrants

Nahnu jundullaahi dawman darbunaa darbul-ubaa
We are forever the soldiers of Allah, our path is the path of the resistant

Strangers! Strangers! Strangers!

Lan nubaali bil quyuud, bal sanamdhii lil khulood
We never care about the chains…

our Beautiful Rabb.. Subhānallāh

We have the Best Listener.. the Only One who wouldn’t ever get tired of our complains, our concerns, our cries, our silent tears, our broken hearts, our wretched souls..

Someone Who would never get bored of it, no matter how ungrateful we are.. no matter how much we disobey Him.. no matter how much we turn our backs.. no matter how much we forget Him from our minds..

Only remember about Him when we finally remember “hey, we have Allāh..”.. Allāh Subhānahū Wata’āla, Who is actually waiting for us to turn to Him, whether it be 2am, 6am, 3pm, any time.. anywhere..

Whether our shoulders are full of ungratefulness, disobedience and sins..

In Sahih Al-Bukhari, Abu Hurayrah RA narrates:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allah says:

‘I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him)…

Arafat Khutba

Points from Khutba in Arafat by Imam of Baitullah on this Hajj. (It is not the recent one.)

Long but each point is precious diamond. Forward far and wide:

– Surround yourself with Muslims who practice the Deen. They are your only True Friends in this Life and in the Hereafter.

– Not everybody is out there to judge you, there are some who want the best for you and want to help you get into Al-Jannah, value them.

– Indeed, a friend who doesn’t care about your Aakhirāh is not really your friend.

– Sometimes the hardest person for you to correct is yourself. There is no shame in being wrong, the shame is in choosing to stay on the wrong path.

– Whatever takes you NEAR to Allah, takes you AWAY from Hellfire. Whatever takes you AWAY from Allah, takes you CLOSER to Hellfire.

Quick and Easy “Sunnah” Stress-Busters

| By Tabassum Mosleh |

Stress! Is there any person in the world who isn’t intimately familiar with it? We seek relief from stress in absurd ways – by shouting at our children when they don’t do their homework, or banging the desk when an assignment isn’t going right, or watching comedy movies to take our minds off it.

But there are some beautiful stress-relievers we can find in the Sunnah of the Prophet (sa), and doing these have the added reward of following the Sunnah.

  1. Use perfume.

Aromatherapy has become quite a popular remedy to relieving stress, a fact being successfully utilized by cosmetics companies. Now you come across the term quite often while browsing shelves in the supermarket. Just smelling some ‘itr also relieves stress. And if you apply some new perfume every time stress gets at you, you’re spreading relief through the air to reach others around…

Profile picture causing fitnah to your Brothers

When a Muslimah hears that it is Haram to put her personal picture as a PROFILE PICTURE on facebook She gives this argument: ”but this is me!

This is the face people see when I go out to the street. So what is the difference if people see my face on Facebook or in the street?!”

This is the answer for that:

“First of all, when you put your picture as a profile picture on Facebook you are causing Fitnah to your brothers in Islam because you don’t help them to lower their gaze even if you are wearing your Hijab in that picture.

In the street you suppose to lower your gaze as they (Muslim men) are suppose to lower theirs.

But on internet, it’s different!

Because any boy would feel that he is free to look to your picture as he wants, the moment he wants because you…
