Self care ❤
Sometimes self care is getting up, making wudu, and praying two rakahs. Even if I don’t feel what I want to while doing it.
Sometimes self care is replying to the messages from people who care about me and genuinely want well for me. It’s going through with plans I said I would.
Sometimes self care is eating a proper breakfast and forcing myself to eat lunch because it might help to bring my appetite back.
Sometimes self care is opening the Quran and starting from the beginning all over. Going over His words for some ease and comfort.
Sometimes self care is laying my head on mom’s lap because it’s been a while since we actually talked.
Sometimes self care is giving my sisters the time of me they deserve with patience because I haven’t done that in a while.
Sometimes self care is trying for at least one day to not push people away. Instead bring them closer to me like they try because a day turns into a week.
Sometimes self care is cleaning even though I’m always organized.
Sometimes self care is doing what I’ve already been, being everybody’s go to person.
Sometimes self care is saying Alhamdulilah because I got this far. Sometimes self care is finding so much to be thankful for because it helps get through the day.
Sometimes self care is opening up the Quran and reading that ayah that I always tell others not to forget, forgetting it applies to me too. With hardship comes ease.
Sometimes self care is putting my headphones in and falling asleep to Quran like I used to when I was twelve. Sometimes self care is taking a deep breath and praying two rakahs before I go to bed.
