The ten people who were given the glad tidings of Jannah?

The ten people who were given the glad tidings of Paradise were the companions of the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) who are mentioned in the hadeeth narrated by ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf, who said:

The Messenger of Allaah (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

  1. Abu Bakr will be in Paradise,
  2. Umar will be in Paradise,
  3. Uthmaan will be in Paradise,
  4. Ali will be in Paradise,
  5. Talhah will be in Paradise,
  6. Al-Zubayr will be in Paradise,
  7. Abd al-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf will be in Paradise,
  8. Sa’d will be in Paradise,
  9. Sa’eed will be in Paradise, and
  10. Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarraah will be in Paradise.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3680).
