Destruction is reached by moving away from Allaah

I do not have time to read Qur’aan…

Unfortunately this is a often heard phrase by our brothers and sisters in faith, so much so that even those who pray 5 times a day will claim such things.

They come with excuses such as, ‘‘I have so much homework” or ”I can’t make any free time!

In reality these are non-valid excuses and even more than that, Allaah says:

And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).[65:2]

My brothers and sisters, you must know that Allaah is the King of All Kings, the All-Knower, the All-Wise, the All Seeing, the All Hearing, and nothing is too great for Him.

When you make time to read Qur’aan do not consider it to be something that decreases the time you have for other things, such as homework or something else.

How many times have we tried doing our homework and only after hours, days, and sometimes even weeks we stumble upon that one phrase, book, or article that provides us with the right answer or insight to that which we are seeking.

You will find that if you pray your 5 daily prayers, you read your daily portion of Qur’aan and memorize your assigned amount, and perform your Dhikr, and help others for the sake of Allaah, and so forth … then you will find in your time and activities such a incredible blessing as you have never experienced before.

You will see that everything goes with the utmost ease, all stress will leave your life, and you will literally feel the Help of Allaah in every instance. Whether it is Him making it easy for you to get a job, finish a homework assignment, or study for exams.

And it is like Allaah says:

… and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him. [65:4]

And in another verse Allaah shows that having believe and Taqwa are means to open for the people blessings from the heaven and the earth, He says:

And if the people of the towns had believed and had the Taqwa (piety), certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth…[7:96]

So ponder upon this great matter my brothers and sisters, and know that success is gained by being close to Allaah, and destruction is reached by moving away from Allaah.
