A secret action of righteousness
A secret action of righteousness.. ❤
Az-Zubayr bin al-‘Awwām رضي الله عنه said,
“Whoever from amongst you is capable of having a secret action of righteousness then let him do so.” [Az-Zuhd of Waki‘ ibn Jarrāh/246]
‘Umar bin al-Khattāb رضي الله عنه said, “Take your share (of good deeds) from isolation.” [Az-Zuhd of Waki‘ ibn Jarrāh/247]
A Man who loves to be known…
Bishr bin al-Ḥārith, may Allāh have mercy upon him, said, “I don’t know a man who loves to be known except that his religion leaves him exposed.”
And Bishr bin al-Ḥārith said, “A man will not experience the sweetness of the hereafter, who loves that the people know him.”
[At-Tawāḍu’ wal Khumūl 1/75]
Whosoever loves Allāh…
Sa’īd bin ‘Abd al-Ghaffār said, “It was Muḥammad bin Yūsuf al-Aṣbahānī and I, when the book of Muḥammad bin al-‘Alā’ bin Al-Musayyab arrived from al-Baṣraħ (or al-Buṣrah) to Muḥammad bin Yūsuf.
He read it and then Muḥammad bin Yūsuf said to me, ‘Do you not see what Muḥammad bin al-‘Alā’ has written in it?
And in is, “O’ my brother! Whosoever loves Allāh, loves that people don’t know him.”’”
[At-Tawāḍu’ wal Khumūl 1/39]
